Where do the days go?

Where do the days go?

I’ll tell you where they go! To hair appointments! Well, at least, this day certainly did. I had a hair appointment at noon and it ended up lasting until around three-thirty!

The father of the lady who does our hair was over mulling over a pile of what looked frighteningly like something I might’ve seen in an accounting class. Then her husband came home to take out his frustrations on the stock broker via his father-in-law. To top it all off, her little one was running around the house getting into boxes of things in the kitchen, playing in the other little one’s room up stairs, hiding under plastic containers, and so on, and so forth.

With all of these distractions, things went slowly. Mom was getting her hair colored and styled, but, today, the stylist felt she had to be meticulous about things. Which, is a good quality for a stylist, but today, I wasn’t really in the mood.

Once we were all through, the stylist and her husband had just enough time to run and bring the one kid home from school, and bring the other to karate.

I’ve been dragging today. Once I got home, I had to take care of all of the things I didn’t get a chance to do that morning: eat, get a shower, coffee, etc.

Of course, Jaku had called a bunch of times by then, but it was already getting late, and it didn’t seem like today was going to be an ideal day to “hang out”.

On another note, I’ve been messing around with a software development kit for the PC game Half-Life 2. It’s pretty fun, but there’s so many tools and tutorials involved, and I’m going to have to be wide awake. I thought I would make some progress today, but I was hampered by error messages from the outset. While seeking a resolution, time just flew by. Plus, I’m joking if I think that I’m going to get into mod creation in a night. Just disassemble a character model, and you are looking at what amounts to the time and effort behind a good sized program invested in a character. They come apart into a million pieces just like a model kit you buy at the store.

Anyway, that’s enough for now. I need to get to bed. I just thought I’d get all of this down before I conked out. As always, thanks for reading.
